Facebook and Instagram advertising enquiries
This section supplements our website privacy policy and explains specifically how we handle Facebook and Instagram advertising enquiries. Where the general marketing wording elsewhere on this page differs, this section applies to these enquiries.
When you submit an advertising enquiry, Meta passes us the details you provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number and contact preferences. We use these to respond, provide information you request and help arrange an appointment.
If you provide a telephone number but do not book, we may call you about the advertised offer unless you opt out. We may check whether you have booked to avoid unnecessary calls. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to prospective patients and helping them arrange treatment, balanced against their privacy and contact preferences.
You can opt out on the enquiry form or ask us to stop calling at any time. This does not affect your access to the offer or your ability to book. Before making marketing calls, we check numbers against the Telephone Preference Service and our own do-not-call records. We will not call a TPS-registered number without specific permission.
Submitting an advertising enquiry does not subscribe you to newsletters or ongoing email or text marketing. We seek separate consent for those communications.
To handle these enquiries, we use Meta, our booking provider Jane, email and IT services, and any authorised reception or marketing support working on our behalf. They receive only information needed for their role, under appropriate data-protection arrangements. This service-provider access is separate from selling your information, which we do not do. Meta also processes information under its own Privacy Policy.
We retain advertising enquiry details for as long as reasonably necessary to respond and complete any permitted follow-up. We review whether the enquiry remains active and whether information is needed to resolve a complaint or legal matter, and delete or anonymise details when they are no longer needed. We retain a minimal record of opt-outs to prevent unwanted contact. If you become a patient, relevant information is retained under our Clinic Privacy Notice.
The Moving Body is responsible for this use of your information. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact Barry McVeigh at barry@themovingbody.co.uk or on 020 8819 4850.
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of your information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and can object to direct marketing at any time. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
